Another lovely before ➡️ after.

The real trick to making a small space feel larger, is by connecting all of your elements. Having lots of individual objects feels cluttered.

In this small bathroom, our statement tile extends from floor to ceiling

This used to be a hallway of doors. It lacked character and felt like an unforgotten area of the home. ➡️ to see before.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. Do something daring in your laundry room… Why? Because laundry sucks and you might as well have fun.

Our number one goal for this house was to bring in the charm often seen in older homes. More built-ins, archways, millwork and custom doors.

The challenges is in this room were as follows:
1. Giant TV was already picked out.
2. Long linear fireplace was already specified.
3. Trying to find balance on an asymmetrical wall with windows.

I think we nailed it.

Balancing a large scale TV and contemporary linear fireplace isn’t always easy when you want to warm up and soften a design.

We used floor to ceiling sheer ripple fold drapery, wood wall paneling, and oversized artwork to help tip the scale.

It’s Sunday morning and we’re admiring and remembering one of our Montreal faves. The before ➡️ after of this project is still blowing our minds 🤯
